Nigerian striker, Sadiq Umar was on target for Almeria in their Spanish Segunda division clash against Espanyol on Monday.
Almeria went into the game needing maximum points to remain in a good position for promotion back to the top-flight division.
The match was closely contested by both teams, but Sadiq Umar managed to give his side the lead a well-taken goal.
The former AS Roma forward scored the decided five minutes after the resumption with a beautiful finishing after he has taken on Espanyol defender, using his strength and precision to finish up to get the goal.
Almeria were pegged back as Espanyol hit back almost immediately through their Belgian import Landry Dimata.
Espanyol were handed awarded an opportunity to win the match from the penalty spot, but Almeria Giorgi Makaridze saved the kick and earned a point for his team.
Sadiq Umar has now scored 18 goals as far as the ongoing season is concerned: 16 goals in the league and 2 goals in the Cup game.
With this result, Almeria is still 3rd position on the log table with 61 points while Espanyol is topping the table with 71 points, 10 points separating the two sides.
